The future of annual passes is not known at the moment, but Disney says it will have new membership offerings in the future. All guests still have the option to scan their park tickets at individual FASTPASS attractions at no additional charge.ĭisneyland has canceled all annual passes for now, but before the temporary Disneyland closure, passholders could purchase just a day through the app after entering the park, or purchase an annual plan for $125 that expired when their current pass expired (there was no prorating for buying mid-year). (Be sure to get a hop on your discount Disneyland tickets by purchasing through Undercover Tourist! As a bonus, you can now purchase discount Disneyland Base and Park Hopper tickets with Disney MaxPass from your favorite frogs too!) Guests can purchase Disney MaxPass as an add-on through the Disneyland mobile app once they enter either theme park. The Disneyland MaxPass price is $20 per person, per ticket, per day.

Our MaxPass tips help maximize your investment in this service. This post outlines the basics of what you need to know, followed by more advanced tips. What is Disneyland MaxPass? While Disney MaxPass is hard to explain, it’s actually pretty easy to use. While our daily step count is down, our ride numbers are way up. Since its debut, our frog squad has spent our days hopping from one ride to the next without standing in line or running all over the park to collect FASTPASSes. MaxPass allows you to make FASTPASS reservations for rides and some shows from your smartphone.

That free system is still in place, but Disneyland has another option, a paid service called Disney MaxPass. Perhaps you are familiar with the Disneyland FASTPASS system, which allows you to skip the main queue by making a FASTPASS reservation and returning to the ride within a one-hour window to skip most of the line.

Take everything you know about theme park lines and throw it away. Hop to our Disney Genie guide for more information! Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane selections are sold separately and can be purchased together, individually or not at all. Standby lines remain in place for no extra cost. For those rides, guests may opt for the additional-cost, individual Lightning Lane selections, which allows the guest to pay for FastPass-like access for a specific ride (but riders may only reserve a particular ride once per day).

Some high-demand rides, such as Radiator Springs Racers, are not included. Guests can make one selection at a time throughout the day. Initially, 19 attractions are on Genie+, and PhotoPass downloads are included. Guests have the option to schedule return times for individual attraction selections in the app and use the Lightning Lane entrance to the rides for $20 per ticket, per day. Genie+ is a paid offering available, as of Dec. A note from Leap: The free FastPass service is now retired and the Disney MaxPass service has been replaced with Genie+, with a few differences.
